Our Africa Trip- Part 1- Cape Town, South Africa

Words cant even describe how AMAZING this trip was. It was certainly a trip of a lifetime!! It all started over a year and a half ago. Al and I were covering an event for Magee Rehabilitation- a fabulous rehab center we work with often! During their live auction a safari trip for 6 came up!! Having been on a safari before, Al and I knew how exiting this was. The trip was for 6 and we were thrilled to win it (along with some others)!! We immediately set the trip into motion. With my mom and other family members (Aunt Betty Ann, cousin Laura and Megan) we had our 6. the first stop on the trip was Cape town. Al and I had been there over 7 years ago so it was nice to get a chance to see parts we didn’t see. We had a wonderful guide for 2 days- Jouques. He was great!! We went to the Cape of good Hope, Seal Island, the wine-lands (and tried 9 different wines and cheese), a cheetah preserve (and got to pet Harris a 14 year old male- it was so AWESOME!!!!!!), Boulder Beach and saw penguins, took walks along the promenade at sunset, saw Mos Def at the Waterfront where we went to dinner a couple of times, ate breakfast overlooking the water each morning from our hotel, laughed A LOT and had an awesome time. It was so great to spend this time with family- barely plugged into the cyber world, taking time off of work, and having fun! Hope you enjoy the pics
