BG Productions goes on Holiday to Ireland, London, and Brugge- Part 1 Travel Photos

Al and i had an opportunity to go to Ireland, London, and Brugge this past week- and it was AMAZING! We went to Ireland with my dad, his wife rough, my brother John, and his friend Sue. What a beautiful country. and i can’t believe how blessed we were with amazing weather. It only rained the 2nd day we were there (at the Rock of Cashel) and a few days later when we went to the Cliffs of Moher. After that we had the most incredible blue skies, even if it was a bit chilly.

We all met up in Philly and flew into Dublin. Al was the driver (and did an excellent job of driving on the other side of the road- and i was the navigator- which is no easy task on this small Irish roads let me tell ya!!)  and we headed out towards Kilkenny. We walked around town, visited the Kilkenny Castle and the Black Abbey before heading towards Thomastown and our country Inn, Bally Duff House for the night. What a gorgeous Irish farm- though VERY cold in there!! We went into the village for dinner and had fresh caught fish and chips and had breakfast at the Inn before setting off to the Rock of Cashel and Ennins (where we were staying for two nights.) The Rock of Cashel, also known as Cashel of the Kings and St. Patrick’s Rock, is a historic site located at Cashel, South Tipperary, Ireland and dates to 1100. It was pouring rain and a lot of it was being re constructed so we couldn’t go in there- but it was still amazing and I loved seeing all the country side.

But by far the most AMAZING part of the trip was us going to Dingle Peninsula. It was well worth the almost 3.5 hour drive there- and along some pretty high cliff walls and one car roads- it was a little hairy when another car was coming towards you. But such Breath taking views! The first stop was a village called INCH. This is where you see the pictures from the beach with the clouds reflecting on the water filled sand. Pretty Amazing. then we continued into dingle itself and had lunch and left dad and John behind and drove the Slea Head Drive- they are NOT fans of scary cliff side roads- lol!!! We saw an old fort with a breath taking view and lots of really cute little lambs! with VERY pink ears!! who knew their ears were so pink. then we came across the beehive huts.

We stayed in Ennis for two nights and walked all around the village eating great food. then we headed into Dublin for 3 nights. We walked all around and took the tourist bus around to see some other parts of the city.

It was certainly a trip of a lifetime!! Enjoy just apeak into all the photos I took. and stayed tuned for the next post- The Cliffs of Moher and The Burren
